Collect on delivery (COD) customers can pay for their move either with cash or by traveler’s check, money order or cashier’s check. Personal checks are not accepted. Payment also can be made by The American Express Card®, Discover Card™, Visa® or MasterCard®. If you choose to use a credit card, you must arrange it with your move coordinator because authorization is required prior to loading. Credit cards are accepted only for interstate household goods moves within the continental United States.
Moves billed to an employer or corporation also require authorization prior to loading. Mergenthaler Transfer & Storage requires written approval from an authorized officer of the company which will be paying for the relocation. The written approval must state the name of the employee relocating, the dollar amount authorized or a statement that all charges related to the move are authorized, and to whom the invoice should be sent including name, title, address, phone and email.
